Savvas Realize and Schoology Learning Management System

Build your courses quickly and easily right in Schoology with the Savvas Realize Discover external tool where you can find Savvas program content by:

• Program table of contents. 
• Search. 
• My Library including your custom assessments and content as well as individual items in your Playlists.

Using the Savvas Realize external tool to add Savvas content is not only quick and easy, but Savvas also allows you to copy and share assignment which means you and your colleagues only need to build your Schoology course once.

One of the key benefits of having an LMS like Schoology is that you can build your course/lesson scope and sequence once and copy it to other courses. That is why Savvas built the integration so that you can copy and share Savvas materials within Schoology using:

• Schoology Course Template a new Schoology feature coming summer of 2022 that allows you to push content from a single master course down to all of your teachers' courses.

You never have to worry about sharing Savvas assignments with other teachers; Savvas Realize creates student assignments on the fly when a students open the assignment in Schoology for the first time.

Being able to copy and share a course or a lesson not only saves teachers time, it allows:

• Your district curriculum specialist to develop a custom scope, sequence and pace that is vetted and meets the unique of your students and share it with teachers across your school district. 
• Teachers to collaborate in building a master course which they can then copy from. 
• A single teacher who wants to build their own course and use the course from year to year.

With Savvas there is no Student Information System (SIS) co-roster sync requirement where you are required to have matching roster data in both Schoology and Savvas Realize. Instead Savvas automatically rosters classes "just-in-time" based on the data from your courses in Schoology. This gives you full flexibility to manage your class rosters in Schoology and allows you to:

• Add additional classes in Schoology that are not in your SIS.
• Add co-teachers to your Schoology classes that are not reflected in the SIS.

At Savvas we know that your district SIS does not always exactly reflect what is happening in the classroom. So if you create a class manually in Schoology , such as a virtual class for students who are at home, it will work with Savvas. If you add co-teachers to your class, like a substitute teacher or a specialist, it will work with Savvas.

With Savvas student learning is simplified; students access and complete their assignments right in Schoology.

Students also have the full power of Savvas Realize. Students can launch Savvas Realize and access their eText and Tools as well as browse the full Savvas programs for additional resources.

When a student completes an assignment, Savvas Realize passes back to the Schoology Gradebook the students' score or indicates that the assignment was completed but requires teacher grading.

Teachers can review student work for both completed and in progress assignments right within Savvas Realize. Coming summer of 2022 you will be able to review and score student work within Schoology.

Once a student has an overall score it is instantly synced with the Schoology Gradebook. Savvas adjusts the score to how you configured the the assignment in Schoology, giving you full control of how the grades appear in your gradebook.

With Schoology you still get the full power of your Savvas Realize data reports including standards mastery and question analysis even for assignments completed within Schoology.
