Dr. Robert Q. Berry
Robert Q. Berry III, Ph.D., is the Dean of the College of Education at the University of Arizona. He is also a Professor of Mathematics Education and holds the Paul L. Lindsey and Kathy J. Alexander Chair. Dr. Berry is a Past-President of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). He was elected to the National Academy of Education in 2022. Berry has published widely and co-edited the bestselling book High School Mathematics Lessons to Explore, Understand, and Respond to Social Injustice. He was the 2022 Cox-Talbot Distinguished Lecturer at the Joint Mathematics Meetings for the National Association of Mathematicians and gave the 2021 Kay Gilliland Equity Lecture for the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics. Equity issues in mathematics education are central to Berry's teaching and research efforts. Dr. Berry is an author of the enVision series.
Zak Champagne
Zak Champagne has been involved in mathematics education for over 20 years. He believes each student has important mathematical ideas and works to share his passion and love for mathematics with teachers around the country. Zak is currently the Lead Teacher at The Discovery School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he teaches third- and fourth-grade students. He has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching, including the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, Duval County Teacher of the Year, Finalist for Florida Teacher of the Year, and the Kenneth Kidd Mathematics Educator of the Year award. Zak is an author of the enVision series.
