At each phase of instruction students have different options to ensure they are on-track, and on-target. Some of these are as simple as a quick question in the Student Edition - Checkpoint – that ensure students understand what they are reading before moving on. Other options to are:
Section Assessments – note these always move from the concrete (terms and names) to the abstract (critical thinking) and ensure students “get it” before they move on
Section Assessments – from the text also have a self-scoring version online called Progress Monitoring Assessments, and an interactive Know it, Show it game show quiz.
